It's been announced that Wisbech is to get a cinema complex on the site of the old stock car stadium on Cromwell Road. Work could start as early as next year and will include a bowling alley and food outlets. It's years since the Hipperdrome, then Unit One, where Boots now is, and the Empire stopped showing films.
