George Parfrey/Parfery who died 29.09.1907.
Trying to trace a burial for George Parfrey/Parfery who died on 29.09.1907 at Westmoor Farm in Doddington near Chatteris. I`ve contacted FDC who tell me he is not buried at March or Chatteris cemetery. :( I`ve visited CRO to check the parish registers for North Witchford ( the burial district ). According to their records he is not buried at Doddington, Chatteris, March St Peter, March St Mary, March, Wimbligton, Manea or Benwick :( The Wisbech Non-Conformist records have also been recently checked without success :( Could anyone advise my next move or contact suggestion please :D Many thanks in advance Steve

Hi Steve Have done a search on the LDS site, but that has come up with nothing too. Have you tried thr National Burial Index? I can't remember whether the Fenland FHS has any records of this location. Sorry :cry:

Hi Ken, Yes have tried NBI, no success there either :( :( My only other option is perhaps Mount Pleasant Cemetery! Would you know a contact name or address for their records that I could try?? Many thanks Steve

Hi Steve Think you'll have to go back to FDC for the records of Mount Pleasant. There was another cemetery, The Octogen Church, which was pulled down some time ago, but the cemetery is still there. I don't know where the records are kept for there and it's been well secured, with three bolts on the gate. Another suggestion would be to get in contact with the Wisbech & Fenland Museum. They have records there, but I don't think they cover the Chatteris area. Best of luck.
