Scardy Cat Plant Phew! What a pong!
I've been using Scardy Cat Plant, Coleus Canina, in my garden and never get next doors big black moggie in here, not any other cats, at least never seen any since I started using them. The big black 'un did come over the fence last year and got some of the smell on him and was straight back over the fence. They do not smell until touched, and phew! do they smell!!!!
I put them in pots so that I can move them around.
They produce a purple flower a bit like lavender, but do not produce seeds. The only way to propogate them is to take cuttings before the first frosts, or any time during growth period. and keep them under cover in a frost free environment.
The plants can be obtained from Thompson and Morgan, but they cost about £1.30 each. Other garden centres do sell them and range from 75p upwards
