Tracing surname Dams
Hello - my first post. I am tracing the surname DAMS. I know the following as regards my ancestors : Father : George Durant Dams - born Wisbech 1909. Grandfather : Thomas Durant Dams - born Wisbech 1878. Great-Grandfather - David Dams - born 1848 Holbeach Drove, Lincs ? Great- Great Grandfather - Thomas Dams born 1813 Holbeach, Lincs Great - Great - Great - Grandfather - Thomas (Richard?) Dams - sometimes spelled as Danes etc - born ca 1780 ? but probably not Cambs or Lincs. I am now stuck at my ggggrandfather but I do know who and where he married and where he was buried. (Married Sarah Leatherland Aug 1804 at Holbeach / Buried 14th March 1859 All Saints, Holbeach). Any help or contact with relations would be much appreciated
