William Pearson Walsoken
Our family has extensive records of the descendents of William Pearson (b ? d 1818?) and Sarah Powell (nee Carr 1764-1807) married in Walsoken in 1801, particularly of their son William (1805 (Walsoken)-1890(Williamstown, Australia) and his descendents from his marriages to Mary Piggot, Sarah Goodson and Jemima Royston, most of whom now live in Australia and New Zealand. William jnr emigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1851, shortly after the death of Mary Piggot. We would like to find out more about William snr, his children from his first marriage and his other daughter with Sarah (Mary b1802, Walsoken). It looks as though William snr married 3 times. From his first marriage (unknown wife), there could be a son Joseph (who had sons William and Joseph) and a daughter Elizabeth who married Abraham Scarfe from Leverington in 1799. In 1818, Abraham Scarfe was a farmer at Swannington, Isle of Ely. The third wife of William snr was Mary Roberts (m 1809, All Saints, Walsoken). We have no record of any children from this marriage.
