Wisbech & District Safer Neighbourhood Panel Meeting As a residents of Wisbech or the surrounding areas you are being given the
opportunity to get involved in policing decisions in the town.
The second of the town's neighbourhood policing panel meetings will take
place on Wednesday January 17 at 7.30pm at Murrow Village Hall.
During the meeting the team, led by Sergeant Sharon Burrell, will report on
their activities during the last three months after residents decided they
wanted to see police tackle criminal damage, speeding and anti-social
behaviour.
Panel meetings are the public's opportunity to have their say on the
policing of Wisbech and the surrounding areas. The team encourage anyone to
attend the meeting who would like to see officers tackle a particular issue
or are keen to hear about the work carried out by the team in the last
three months.
Neighbourhood policing is about creating safer neighbourhoods and raising
confidence and satisfaction in policing.
During the last three months officers from the Wisbech and district team
have been focusing on reducing crime in the three target areas, carrying
out a number of high profile operations to crack down on those who continue
to commit offences in the three areas.
The team have worked extremely hard in the past three months to ensure that
we have made a significant impact of the areas that were concerning
residents three months ago.
The Wisbech panel meeting is open to residents from the town, Walsoken,
Rings End, Coldham, Elm, Friday Bridge, Christchurch, Leverington, Parson
Drove, Wisbech St Mary, Murrow, Guyhirn, Thorney Toll, Tydd Gote, Foul
Anchor, Newton and Gorefield.
The meeting will be attended by Chief Inspector Laura Hunt, Inspector
Malcolm Graham, Sgt Sharon Burrell, members of the neighbourhood policing
team and partner agencies.
During the meeting residents will be updated on the work of the team in the
last three months, discuss the main issues facing them in their area before
deciding on the policing priorities for the next three months.

contribute you can do so by replying to this email. We’d like to know what
your top concerns, in your neighbourhood, are (please provide specific

We look forward to seeing our subscribers there.
