I am currently restoring a 1950 Bentley motor car which was first registered to a Mr Arthur Image of Oxborough Hall, Emneth and would like to find out more about the hall, its history and the families that lived there. Can anyone help ? Has there been or is there available any local literature on the hall and the familes that have lived there ?
Any assistance would be much appreciated. |

Hi
I saw your posting on Aug 26 2007 of Emneth
I live in Australia and my 3xgreat grandmother came from Emneth she was a Louisa (Lucy) Handslip she married a William Jones in 1812 at St Peter church of England They live in Wisbech and my family live there till around 1850's 1860's. We believed that after William Jones died she went back to Emneth and look after a boarding house.
I have been doing family search and cannot find out who Louisa and William parents names
I was wandering if you would be so kind to help me fine information of my family |

I am the grandson of Arthur Image, and would be happy to give you what information I have about Oxburgh and the car you are restoring. In fact, as I type his message I am looking at a picture of Oxburgh with the car in front of it. If you receive this message, you would be best to respond using my email address which is :bakerjohnh@gmail.com.
